This winter has been really strange. We have only had a handful of snow days, and most days have been in the 40’s. Today we took advantage of it and went to the park. Choupi had a great time and as always, cried when we left.

That’s right, the children are with their grandparents and we are going to a friend’s housewarming party. It’s been so long since I have gone out that I don’t know how to feel about it.

I will start this blog by trying to do something that I have seen a lot of people attempt to do; I will try to post one picture a day for a year. I know, it kind of contradicts some of the stuff I wrote earlier, which is why I am not expecting to be able to finish the year, but I’ll do my best to try.

I love taking pictures. I think that I have an eye to see beautiful things, but I have no idea how to really use a camera. I would love to take a class, maybe one day. This project will be done with my phone though, so that I don’t have to upload the pictures, unless I have time to. So I do not expect them to be breathtaking (who am I kidding!) but it should show my day to day life, which is what I am trying to accomplish.

I will start with the craft that we made this morning, Choupi and I. Choupi is sick and has been watching quite a few cartoons on Netflix the last couple of days. She has been watching the movie “ponyo” in a loop as well.

Anyway, this morning I decided that we would take a break and do a craft. So I pulled out some of the stuff that I bought at the dollar store a couple of days ago (I think that the dollar store and I will become best friends by the way) and we made this:

I realize that it’s not as cute or fancy as some stuff you can see on other blogs, but i’m not a perfect mama after all!

If your house is always clean and you can receive guests in a moment notice, if you are so organized that know what will happen each day/week, if you stick to your meal plans to the t, if you don’t have unfolded laundry somewhere in your house, if your children never watch TV then this blog is not for you.

If on the other hand you love your children more than anything, but can’t always keep them occupied without reverting to TV once in a while even if it makes you feel guilty, if you have multiple children and pets and are still trying to master the art of attending to the one whose diaper is the fullest/ who needs to be put out first in the morning, if you love crafts but are not sure which project to start first so you end up not doing any, you might be able to relate to this blog.

I am the Mom of a beautiful 2.5 year old daughter, whom I will call Choupi and an awesomely cute and happy 2.5 months old boy, whom we shall name Boubou. I was working full time in an office until recently when I had to quit, so I am now a stay at home mom.

I am starting this blog to try to document this transition. I will mostly blog from my iPhone since I am often on the go, so I do not expect to post beautiful pictures, since these will be taken with my phone as well.

Well, welcome and let’s get started !!
